Knightsbridge house for £195,000
A double-fronted house in Knightsbridge is on the market for £195,000 – there’s obviously a catch

A double-fronted house in Crescent Place is offered for sale through Friend and Falcke for £195,000. However, the buyer would be taking on a non-enfranchiseable lease meaning that they will have no rights to claim a statutory lease extension or remain in occupation at the end of the term on March 24, 2013.
Charlie Findlater of Friend & Falcke's Chelsea office says: 'This is an arrangement that suits someone who is looking for a rental property. The purchaser gets a large property for a short term on what amounts to a good value rental, albeit one that needs to be paid up front. In this case the cost per month works out at about £5,700; a property of this kind would usually rent for about £6,900 per month.'
Crescent Place is a quiet no-through road, and the cottages are considered to be some of the finest in Knightsbridge, rarely becoming available for sale. There are two bedrooms, two receptions, two bathrooms and a garden.
