Connaught Square sale
A house four doors down from Tony Blair's in Connaught Square has sold for £4.3m, a rise on the price that the Blairs paid in 2004

A family house on Connaught Square, four doors down from the Blairs, has just sold for £4.3million.
The Blairs who bought their identical house in 2004 for £3.65 million.
Martin Bikhit, MD of the sales agents Kay & Co says: 'This sale is extremely good news for the Blairs and disproves recent speculation that they had lost a large sum of money since purchasing their property'.
The property, moments from Hyde Park, is located in a highly desirable part of Bayswater, London W2, among the white stuccoed and Georgian houses, and garden squares, of Connaught Village.
Mr Bikhit says: 'The new owners purchased the property as a family home due to its generous size, sought after postcode and the added benefit of the Blairs' security team. '
The six-bedroom house, spans almost 4,500 sq ft, has grand entertaining space and self-contained staff accommodation in the basement. Mr Bikhit adds: 'The Blair’s house is virtually identical to this one in size, although they have the added advantage of the mews house behind which they acquired after the original sale.'
