Farmhouse with fishing in Wales
This pretty farmhouse in the Teifi valley in Carmarthenshire comes with brilliant salmon and trout fishing, and four self-catering cottages

Formerly part of the Dôl-Haidd Isaf estate, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a stunning stretch of the River Teifi in Carmarthenshire which is renowned for salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing, along with a handsome five-bedroom farmhouse overlooking the river and four self-catering cottages.
The pretty stone farmhouse has been extended and renovated over time. Reception rooms on the ground floor include the dining room, a small sitting room/snug, and the conservatory which enjoys majestic views of the river, as does the kitchen/breakfast room. The sitting room adjoins the rear hallway and leads to two bedrooms, including the master suite, and an office. There are three further double bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs. Period features include a large inglenook fireplace in the dining room.
The fishing
Around 1380 yards of fishing-includes over 185 yards of double bank fishing. The land comprises over 35 acres of grazing with stables and a tack room.
Spring runs are not heavy, although fish up to 18lb have been landed. Large sea trout run early in April and May followed by the school sea trout in June, with July and August the best months, especially on the fly.
Good catches of brown trout can be made on any day of the season. The autumn rain in September and October brings good runs of salmon with the record fish caught at Dôl-Haidd Isaf being 24lb.
The location Dôl-Haidd Isaf is set in the Teifi valley in the county of Carmarthenshire in west Wales just 16 miles from the beautiful sandy beaches and coves along Cardigan Bay. To the south are the beaches of Carmarthen Bay and the vast seven mile sandy beach at Pendine.
