RICS members predict price rises
The highest number of surveyors from RICS are predicting house price rises for 2014 since 1999

A substantial proportion of RICS members are predicting more sales and house price rises for 2014 The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has said that 59% surveyors are predicting house price rises for 2014. In addition, the proportion of surveyors predicting sales to increase next year has risen to 76%.
RICS also warned that without a 'meaningful increase' in the supply of homes, both house prices and rents will become more unaffordable. The body also described a ‘sharp' pick-up, of 58% more surveyors seeing house price growth for November.

House sales have also lifted strongly compared with a year ago. An average of just over 20 homes per surveyor were sold in the three months to November, compared with around 15 during the same period last year.
