The elegant Grade II* listed Queen Anne manor house whose gardens won the HHA garden of the year award has sold

The Smiths Gore Cotswold office (01451 832832) have announced the sale of Bourton House, an elegant Grade II* Listed Queen Anne manor house with nationally acclaimed gardens situated in the North Cotswolds.
The house was awarded 'garden of the year' by the Historic Houses Association/Christies in 2006.
Bourton House was previewed by Penny Churchill in Country Life on September 16 and formally launched to the market a week later in the Cotswolds edition with a guide price of £5 million.
The marketing campaign generated intense interest among both domestic and international buyers. Within five weeks Bourton House was secured by international buyers after competitive bidding and the new owners will take possession in April 2010.
