The fourth dog of Christmas
The fourth dog in our Twelve Dogs of Christmas series is a wonderful labrador looking for a brand new home

Next up in our Twelve Dogs of Christmas series with Dogs Trust is the beautiful black Labrador Holly.
The lovely Holly is only two years old and very bright although slightly shy at first. With eyes that would melt any heart, Holly is looking for a new family to help give her a fresh start.

Dogs Trust Snetterton Supporter Relations Officer Kate Brewster describes Holly as ‘an affectionate but shy lady, who can be a bit reserved until she gets to know you.
‘She would appreciate a patient family that can take the time to help her settle in and find her feet. She is a bright girl who knows her basic commands and true to her breed is easily motivated by food!
‘Holly likes a routine so would prefer a family that can offer her some sort of structure. She needs to live with a calm confident dog who can aid her settling in and she would also like a feline-free home.
‘She is a lovely girl and we're certain that in the right home she will thrive.'

We think all dogs deserve a wonderful home but they are a big responsibility, so please remember not to pick up a dog this Christmas unless they can be financially supported and receive the time and devotion they require.

Evenley Wood Garden: 'I didn't know a daffodil from a daisy! But being middle-aged, ignorant and obstinate, I persisted'
When Nicola Taylor took on her plantsman father’s flower-filled woodland, she knew more about horses than trees, but, as Tiffany Daneff discovers, that hasn’t stopped her from making a great success of the garden. Photographs by Clive Nichols.
