For those of you who have kept up with our Dogs Trust rescue dog series so far, you'll be pleased to hear that both the gorgeous Milo and Luna have found loving new homes to happily settle down in.

We're hoping the same happiness will come this charming gentleman's way. Popeye is an adorable 10 year-old cocker spaniel who is looking for a new family to belong to.

Dogs Trust Ballymena Rehoming Centre Manager Mary Carney says that in spite of his age, Popeye still has ‘endless bags of energy.'

‘He would happily live with other dogs,' she says. ‘But can get a bit intimidated if he meets too many at once!

‘He's developed quite the fan base during his time at the centre and we're all hoping he gets the fresh start he deserves very soon.

‘He can live with children over six and as long as there's lots of cuddles and the odd treat, possibly not spinach like his namesake though, he'll be a happy boy.

‘Popeye is a fantastic dog and we cannot wait to wave him off to his new home.'

If you think you can offer Popeye the perfect home then please contact Dogs Trust Ballymena on 028 2565 2977 or visit him at 60 Teeshan Road, Ballymena, Co Antrim, BT43 5PN.
