Alresford Show gears up
A traditional country show in Hampshire is preparing to open its gates on September 1 - Alresford Show is now in its 104th year
There is no better way for a family to spend a country weekend than at a traditional agricultural show. This year the 104th Arlesford Agricultural Show will be held on Saturday 1st September in Tichborne Park near Alresford in Hampshire.
Classic country show entertainments will all be present including the vintage agricultural display of machinery and tractors; shopping for arts and crafts and local produce; the dog show; children's show jumping Thelwell style; the tents displaying the horticultural show, and the grand parade of champion livestock. There will be a menagerie of animals to meet including poultry, goats, pigs and even ferrets, alpacas and birds of prey.

New for 2012 is a display of Heavy Horses performing a musical ride and Iberian Horses with riders in full national dress.
The Food Hall will be packed with local produce and the Flower Show and Art and Crafts tent will be overflowing with exhibits together with fantastic shopping from over 150 trade stands.
