If you’re planning to rent a cottage for Christmas or a break in the New Year, make sure you can take your dog along. Here are six pet friendly cottages for rent from Cornwall to The Highlands.
Cornwall Mylor Bridge Cottage sits on the edge of Mylor Village, within easy reach of Truro and Falmouth in Cornwall. The cottage sleeps six and has a log burner and a pleasant enclosed courtyard, plus access to lovely walks. Prices start from £10-£100 per night:
Tresco Cottage in Kelhelland, Cornwall, lies close to St Ives Bay. The property sleeps eight and has a welcoming woodburning stove, a fluffy hearth rug and an enclosed garden. Prices start from £80 per night.
Somerset
Enjoy the 500 acre Tyntesfield Estate while you stay in this beautiful National Trust property, Summerhouse Cottage, possibly a former hunting lodge to the main house. Prices from £230 for three nights this November until Christmas.
Highlands Loch Ness Cottage is located near Errogie, not far from Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. The cottage sleeps five and has a log fire, a well-fenced garden and looks out on to some lovely woodland views. Prices start from £63 per night.
Suffolk Framlingham Cottage in the village of Bruisyard lies close to Framlingham Castle, in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. The cosy cottage sleeps two and has a log burner, an enclosed garden and nearby access to public footpaths. Prices start from £55 per night.

Yorkshire
Not far from Grassington, The Old Smithy is a sweet little cottage for two is a perfect base for couples with a large dog which loves to walk for miles and miles. The Dales are a beautiful place to get away from it all.
Oxfordshire
Water Meadow Cottage is a beautiful 200-year-old property built with Cotswold stone on the edge of the Blenheim Palace Estate. All guests receive a doggy hamper on arrival. From £375 per night
