There are reports of domestic would-be property buyers surfacing in London says a new report

A long-awaited spirit of optimism has been injected into the market in London as interest from would-be buyers returns to the market, says a new report with one insider saying viewings rose nearly 65% in January compared with the same month in 2008 say Black Brick property solutions. Particularly strong interest is in Belgravia, Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Chelsea the report adds, where viewings rose an exceptional 80%.
‘Those backed by plenty of cash or a sizeable deposit are finding some of the best buying conditions for years,’ continues the report. ‘One agent has pointed out that a year ago there were just five houses between £2 million and £3 million on the market in Chelsea and South Kensington but currently there are forty on offer. The excitement in some corners of the market is palpable,’ it continues.
