Bigger and better than ever for 2009 SIMA, the Madrid International Real Estate Exhibition, is set to run from the 27th until the 30th May 2009. Now in its 11th year, the fair, which is already the largest in Spain, has also developed a reputation for being one of the biggest and best international property exhibitions in the world.
The property available this year will be the widest range SIMA has featured to date, with many exhibitors putting their best feet forward to offer some exceptional opportunities to those looking to invest in Spanish property. SIMA’s international contingent has also been growing in recent years, and building on the success of exhibitors from Brazil and Argentina in 2008, further representatives from choice South American properties will be presenting to interested parties on some of the opportunities available on the other side of the Atlantic. Some North African and Eastern Mediterranean property agents have also booked in to attend, to cater for buyers curious to find out more about Morocco, Tunisia and the east of the Mediterranean.
SIMA is certainly now the established premier marketplace for Spanish property with the advantage that everything you might want to consider buying is in one place. ‘Visiting SIMA saves time and unnecessary travel,’ says Director Eloy Bohúa. ‘It allows the visitor to get a full picture of the offers available in the market as well as to benefit from a high quality of personal service at the stands. If I were thinking of buying a home, I would most certainly wait until the exhibition to make the purchase and benefit from the opportunities that will in all probability arise during the four days that the exhibition lasts.’
SIMA also embraces new developments in home technologies, and this year’s show is set to be packed with all the newest gadgets which can be applied to the home. This section is set to feature cutting edge news on renewable energy and sustainable construction including a brand new prototype of a solar powered home designed and built by students at Madrid’s Polytechnic University.
