A stone built, Grade II* listed, tithe barn that stands in nearly 18 acres is to be auctioned by Hamptons on March 19.
Built for the Abbot of Winchcombe and located within the Cotswold village of Church Enstone, the barn has a carved stone plaque with a Latin inscription dating it to 1382. It has been in the family since 1920 when it was bought by the current owner’s grandfather. The barn was damaged during the Second World War and was virtually derelict until the owner repaired it to its current condition in the Sixties.
