Poachers drain canal
Poachers have drained a canal to get to carp, according to anglers

Poachers have drained a canal in Tameside, Greater Manchester, for carp, according to anglers, although British Waterways disagrees.
Part of Huddersfield's Narrow Canal was closed after it was emptied when the culprits opened the gates. Anglers claim it was poachers looking for carp.
Edward Fox, of British Waterways, said: 'All in all, it is a complete pain, which disrupts the network for boaters and diverts our staff from their other work on the waterways.
'From what I understand it would be a very inefficient way of trying to catch fish, as they detect the increased flow and escape from the pound with the water.'
