New homes week launched
The advantages of buying brand new properties are being highlighted this week as part of New Homes Week 2009

Would-be buyers are being urged to get down to their local housebuildling sites this week to see some of the deals available on new homes all over the country.
New Homes Week '09 is designed to encourage househunters to consider buying a brand new property from housebuilders who, commonly, are putting together some extremely attractive deals for those ready to buy now.
David Pretty, Chairman of the New Homes Marketing Board said today: ‘Prices are currently lower than they have been for years, but with supply increasingly limited, there is the clear danger of demand outstripping supply, meaning prices may well begin to rise in the near future. There are already some early signs of this so we believe that now is a great time to buy and we are urging people to get down to their local sites and show homes to see the great deals on offer.'

Many homebuilders can help out with stamp duty payments or part exchange, or simply discounts on brand new properties.
New Homes Week, which is running until September 20, also seeks to highlight that new properties are
* Greener than older houses * Not caught up in a chain so easier to purchase * They have guarantees from the builders giving peace of mind

‘We have new properties ranging between £100,000 and over £1m, and there are unquestionably still some very good bargains to be had, although I doubt this will last long,' added Mr Pretty.
