New luxury villas now for sale in Andalucia have already proved popular with sporting stars Matt Dawson and Esteban Vigo. Hillside or frontline villas on the championship 18-hole golf course at Arcos Gardens Golf Club and Country Estate near the pretty pueblo blanco village of Arcos de la Frontera start at just over £500,000, rising to £762,000 for four-bed 'golf mansions' with private pools and gardens. *Search for more premium property in Spain The new scheme has the lowest density in all of Andalucia with only 500 houses in total spread over 440 acres. Inspired by Andalucian architecture, the development also has a hotel, clubhouse and a spa and therapy centre with pools and gardens on site. 'Arcos Gardens has incorporated natural characteristics of its environment while still providing 21st century amenities,' says agent Chris Mercer from Mercers, which is based in both Oxfordshire and Spain. There is a special water treatment plant at Arcos Gardens and 2,000 olive trees were sensitively re-planted during the building of the golf course. A new road linking Arcos de la Frontera with Jerez has reduced the journey by 15 minutes to the nearest airport at Jerez where Ryanair flights run from London Stansted twice daily. Also, Seville and Gibraltar airports are less than an hour's drive.
