Fields and dreams. In 1914, the legendary Joe DiMaggio was born, which is also when the centerpiece home of The Keene Farm made its debut. From a quiet country road, two rows of tall trees and hand laid stone welcomes you past striking red barns until you arrive at an impeccable farmhouse, perfectly sited to take full advantage of the magnificent views of the Catskill Mountains and your 93 acre Hudson Valley playground. The house itself is an absolute classic, full of style and vintage flair, but updated with modern, luxurious comforts. A light-filled chef's kitchen leads into an open living room with a wood-burning fireplace, then into a perfectly proportioned dining room decorated with a chic William Morris wallpaper that sets the tone for enjoying meals with memories. Every great farmhouse has a front parlor, and this one is no exception; you'll be ready to receive guests, or simply relax and read a book in true country comfort. There is also a powder room on this floor. A handsome wooden staircase takes you up to three bedrooms, a lovely bath, and a large upper terrace for surveying your Shangri-la. In the basement, past the pristine mechanicals (which include radiant heat and central air) you'll find a large & comfortable room behind 2 wooden doors that reveals a secret hideaway or potential media room. As charming as the interior is, a house like this would not be complete without a porch to rock on.
