This charming Wilhelminian-style villa was built in 1904 as the summer residence of a Berlin banking family. It is located in the district of Ferch on the south-western shore of Lake Schwielowsee. Ferch was once considered an insider tip for Berlin tourists, who could only reach the fishing village by boat. Because of the unique views of the Havel landscape, a group of landscape painters settled here, to whom a small museum in the village center is dedicated today. The double-shell masonry of the house was built using bricks from the nearby Glindow brickworks, with a preference for misfired bricks for the faade design, which were particularly popular in Art Nouveau due to their organic shape. The property was completely renovated from 2002 onwards following its acquisition by the current owners and offers a living space of approx. 197 m spread over 7 rooms. In the living area on the upper floor, walls were removed to create a spacious room situation with wonderful lines of sight. Beyond the lakeside path is the private lake property with over 35 meters of shoreline. A large lawn and the small bathing area with sunbathing lawn invite you to linger in a sheltered atmosphere. The wooden jetty offers 4 moorings for boats and a bathing ladder for entering the lake. Below the loggia is a small, 2-storey summer house with pre-installed wiring and a 50A power connection. The lower area was once used as a boat shed and is ideal for various storage purposes.
