The History of La Ferme des AiglesLa Ferme des Aigles has been home to two of the most renowned trainers in recent years: Maurice Zilber (Derby winner Empery and those globetrotting mares Dahlia and Trillion among them) and John Hammond, who trained the great Montjeu to win the Prix du Jockey Club, the Arc de Triomphe and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot. Montjeu has been the only French-trained horse to achieve this feat in living memory. Hammond has also trained G1 winners in France, England, Ireland, America, Canada and Hong Kong.



The Principal House

The principal house of La Ferme des Aigles consists of 15 rooms totalling approximately 423.70 m² and 165 m² of sumptuous entertaining space. On the ground floor, a hall gives access to the reception rooms on one side, and a library opens on to a billiard room, dining room and kitchen. On the first floor, there are seven bedrooms with five bathrooms. There are two cellars in the basement.



Independent from the stables and training yard, the house has additional access from Avenue du Domaine des Aigles. Originally designed in three parts, the house has grand rooms with private gardens in a lovely setting.



La Ferme des Aigles has charm and prestige; it is both an enchanting home and the premier address in the heart of a delightful town, renowned as the headquarters of French horse racing.



The unique Belle Epoque stable yard comprises three bedroom duplex apartment, six staff flats, offices, and 16 stables. Additionally, there are three stable barns with 49 stables, a horse walker and lunge ring and paddocks of approximately 2.15 hectares. A further 1.8 hectares of paddocks are available by separate negotiation.
