In the fifth of our how-to videos sponsored by Alitex, makers of bespoke greenhouses and conservatories, we show you how to clean your greenhouse.
Sarah Wain, Gardens Supervisor at West Dean Gardens in West Sussex, shows us how to effectively clean your greenhouse.
She explains that an annual clean of your greenhouse will not only help maintain the structure of your greenhouse, but also keep bugs at bay, and destoy any pests hiding in holes such as red spider mite and mealy bug.
To clean your greenhouse you will need a selection of brushes and sponges, a bucket of soapy water and plenty of elbow grease.
If you don’t have another greenhouse to move your plants to during the clean, it isn’t a problem – simply move everything over to one side of the greenhouse, clean thoroughly and then swap to the other side.
Remember, an annual spring clean will keep pests at bay and ensure a gleaming, perfect greenhouse.
