As the summer already begins to draw to a close and we slide towards autumn, English Heritage is making the most of the time remaining to us and staging a series of open air concerts through the second half of August. At Marble Hill in Twickenham you enjoy the likes of Lemar, Beverley Knight, Chloe Hanslip, Bananarama and The Music of Motown all in the grounds of a beautiful manor house on the Thames with a healthy dose of fireworks as a finale. Meanwhile at Battle Abbey in Battle, Hastings, Belinda Carlisle and Midge Ure will be among the many artists performing with the final night of each series of concerts offering a special show to end your summer with a bang. Additionally, the concerts at Battle Abbey will climax with an aerial Spitfire show.

Country Life

Country Life is unlike any other magazine: the only glossy weekly on the newsstand and the only magazine that has been guest-edited by HRH The King not once, but twice. It is a celebration of modern rural life and all its diverse joys and pleasures — that was first published in Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee year. Our eclectic mixture of witty and informative content — from the most up-to-date property news and commentary and a coveted glimpse inside some of the UK's best houses and gardens, to gardening, the arts and interior design, written by experts in their field — still cannot be found in print or online, anywhere else.
