Acqua di Parma
This heavenly scent opens with aromatic top notes of myrtle and basil, lemon and bergamot, which evoke the character of the smallest of the Aeolian islands. Mirto di Panarea’s intense base of juniper, cedar wood and amber means that it has a satisfying weightiness to it – without being too heavy for spring. £61, www.acquadiparma.com
de Mamiel
This new limited edition spring oil works to bring winter-weary skin back into bloom. High quality oils including Jojoba, Rosehip and Milk Thistle balance your face’s own natural oil, which often goes haywire with the change of season. Just massage a few drops in every day for the oil’s vitamin E and fatty acids work its magic. Canendula and marshmallow root make it suitable for sensitive skin.

Chantecaille
Replace your heavy duty moisturiser with a light-weight version, such as Chantecaille’s lovely Flower Water Fluid, which is oil-free and bursting with potent flower essences to keep your moisture levels up. Its star ingredient is orange extract, which is rich in Vitamin C. It also works well for men as a soothing after-shave lotion.
The Savoy
Try out The Savoy’s American Bar on a bright evening out in London. With a view of the Thames you can enjoy one of the cooling cocktails from its revamped menu. The Rose Garden (gin, yugu juice, and eucalyptus leaf) and Olympia (vodka, pink grapefruit, greek syrup and egg white) slip down all too easily. Surrounded by Terry O’Neill portraits, curiosities from the hotel’s illustrious history, and live music every night, drinking up at the bar makes you feel like an old-fashioned film star.
