Grade II-listed St Cadix, which stands on the site of an ancient Cluniac priory, dissolved in 1536, occupies a truly magical position at the head of St Cyriac’s Creek with direct access to tidal waters. The house was completely rebuilt in 1710 by Richard Wymond, an ancestor of the late Lord R. A. (‘Rab’) Butler. For sale for the first time in 55 years, it has three reception rooms, a library, five bedrooms, three bath/shower rooms and a range of traditional buildings, protected on all sides by 78 acres of woodland leading down to the creek.
