Australia. The Royal Academy off Arts presents the most significant survey of Australian art ever mounted in the UK. Spanning 200 years from 1800 this exhibition focuses on the influence of landscape and includes over 200 works of including watercolours, photography and drawings from Aboriginal artists and European émigrés across a broad geographiacal and chronological sweep. Out of the Shadows: MacDonald Gill.
A displey of the work of the influential designer, presenting a glorious abundance of pictorial maps and rarely-seen original artwork, including posters, personal papers and artifacts unearthed at Gill’s remote Sussex cottage. The Ark of Suburbia: an exhibition of Susan Horth’s sculptural work, inspired by her suburban garden. The intricate pieces are inspired by the many birds, animals and insects that visit the artist’s garden, all made by hand with fine knitted wire and beads. Shahrzad Ghaffari: Darkness to Bliss.
The first solo exhibition in London of Ghaffari’s work, who is descended from renowned Iranian painters Sani-ol-MolkGhaffari and Kamal-ol-MolkGhaffari. A Family Collection From Boxted House.
An exhibition featuring modern British Art from the collection of Bobby and Natalie Bevan. Dartmoor: Patricia Heal.
A multi-media photographic celebration of wild ponies of the Dartmoor national park by the New York artist Patricia Heal, in her first UK exhibition. Alex Hoda: D-Construction. 2Q13 Women Collectors, Women Artists.

The Derwent Art Prize. The Cumberland Pencil Company is hosting an exhibition of drawing chosen by Yvonne Crossley, Stephen Farthing RA and Fisun Güner. The Glamour of Bellville Sassoon. An exhibition that celebrates what was Britain’s greatest couture label from the 1960s onwards. The team of Belinda Bellville, David Sassoon and Lorcan Mullaney dressed some of the world’s most famous faces, including Diana Princess of Wales. The exhibition explores the transition of labels from couture houses to their celebrity ambassadors and looks at ready-to- wear and vogue patterns. Johannes von Stumm. Having launched their 2000ft gallery space at 6 Duke Street St James’s in July, Bowman Sculpture announces an exhibition of Bavarian sculptor Johannes von Stumm. Jennifer McRae. An exhibition of recent work from the artist Jennifer McRae. The focus of her art lies in still-life and portrait drawings in pencil, oil and watercolour, in which she is meticulous with detail and accuracy. Warhol/Laing. In conjunction with the Scottish Parliament’s show of Andy Warhol, Bourne Fine Art will present a sculpture of the artist by fellow pop artist Gerald Laing. David Tremlett: Artists’ House Drawings. A specially commissioned collection of a series of wall drawings by David Tremlett, for the Artists’ House at Roche Court. The brightly pigmented drawings interact with their space to give rhythm to the walls with various different geometric shapes. Merlyn Evans: The Life of Forms. This is an exhibition of paintings from the 1960s by Merlyn Evans, displayed in the Gallery at Roche Court. There is also a display of his prints in the Artists’ House. A Family Collection from Boxted House:
Works by Robert Brevan and other Modern British Art from the collection of Bobby and Natalie Bevan. The exhibition presents work from the personal collection of Bobby and Natalie Bevan which hung on the walls of their home, Boxted House in Essex. At the centre of the how is a group of paintings by Bobby’s father the Camden Town Group artist Robert Bevan (1865-1925). The Fine Art Society will be offering these to the market for the first time as well as other drawings and rare prints by Bevan. The collection also includes work by Harold Gilman, Augustus John, Edward McKnight Kauffer and C.R.W Nevinson. Pearls. A pearl-drop earring worn by Charles I at his execution and a necklace given to Marilyn Monroe by Joe DiMaggio are among the superb array of over 200 jewels and art works on display at the V&A. Another Light: Prairie Journey – In the 1980s John McLean was invited as guest artist to the University of Saskatchewan’s legendary Emma Lake workshop where previous visitants included John Cage, Barnett Newman and Antony Caro. Rory McEwen: The Colours of Reality – presents the varied career of the renowned Scottish artist and musician Rory McEwen (1932-1982), focusing on his remarkable paintings of plants. John Blackburn: A Decade of Evolution.
Now in his ninth decade John Blackburn is at last receiving the critical and commercial recognition he deserves as an abstract painter of originality and vision: an artist who has taken the modernist project of St Ives into the 21st century.
