National Shooting Week 2008 has been confirmed, following the success of the first ever National Shooting Week in 2007. National Shooting Week 2008 will be held from Saturday 3 May to Sunday 11 May 2008.
National Shooting Week 2007 involved more than 200 public open days, which enabled thousands of people to try shooting for the first time. Coverage of the event allowed an estimated 15 million people to find out more about shooting.
Shooting School Finder, an online search facility, will help people find the location of their nearest participating club.
Aims of National Shooting Week 2008:
To provide opportunities to try Olympic and Paralympic disciplines on a nationwide scale.
To enable anyone to try shooting for the first time.
To provide a participation strategy as laid out in the Government’s Charter for Shooting.
To promote respect for and understanding of legal firearms and airguns.
National Shooting Week 2008 will be held from Saturday 3 May to Sunday 11 May 2008.
