Tonedale Mill was established in 1790 by the Fox family, and became a site of national importance during the Boer War when the Tonedale dyers developed the dye khaki leading to the end of British soldiers redcoats. It subsequently became the largest integrated woollen mill in the South West.
The mill is now being converted into a selection of homes with former industrial and period features which have been incorporated into the design of the apartments and homes.
