A painstakingly restored Eighties house built in the Georgian style on the borders of Chelsea and Fulham in south west London is for sale for £2.995 million.
* Luxury property for sale in London
The double-fronted five-bedroom, four-storey house in Waterford Road has been renovated by dashing niche property developer Blaze Stojanovski, who was born in Chichester, brought up in Macedonia and works in both the UK and at home.
Purchased from the Rothschild family, it took Mr Stojanovski nearly a year to sort out a party wall agreement for the house. He also spent considerable time getting his team to dig out a huge 1,000-square foot basement, which has virtually doubled the size of the place.
‘The basement does not look like a basement at all, as it is lit by two light wells behind two sliding glass doors. It also has a deep, wide staircase and an authentic period wine cellar that we uncovered,’ he says.
There is bespoke joinery throughout the house, as well as CAT 6 cabling, Lutron lighting, under-floor heating and mounted ceiling speakers in each room.
The first floor master bedroom suite comes with a walk-in dressing room with silk wallpaper, bespoke suede cupboards and the master bathroom has bookmatch marbled walls and dark granite floor tiles.
‘The wallpaper comes from America,’ points out Mr Stojanovski, ‘and is specially designed for one of the bedrooms by Knowles & Christou. We sent photos of the room and the view from the windows and the wallpaper was made for that particular space.’
The house in Waterford Road is for sale through Marsh & Parsons’ Fulham office (020 7736 9822, www.marshandparsons.co.uk).
