This market is a great time for sellers to upgrade, particularly in West London says the latest report from
Kinleigh, Folkard and Hayward. ‘Although sellers may achieve a relatively low price for their property, they will be paying a lower price for the house they want to move to,’ says Matthew Rothery, sales manager at Kinleigh Folkard and Hayward’s Hammersmith branch. ‘Our advice is to get their property on the market as soon as possible, and capitalise on the short supply of properties at this time of year.’
The report also found increased demand in the number of buyers looking in the Shepherd’s Bush area, particularly due to the opening of Westfield Shopping Centre. The agent has seen buyer registrations rise 40% week-on-week, with the bulk of buyers being young professionals.
Kinleigh, Folkard and Hayward say they don’t expect to see increased activity overall in the capital until 2009.
