Foxes barking and screaming their way through the early hours could have got more than they bargained for in a quiet London street where one prominent resident resides.
Armed police were already stationed on the street, quietly out of the way, but, as soon as the foxes’ barks started up, rather alarmingly, at 4am, the alarmed police hurried out with their guns at the ready.
It could have been distinctly unwise for the foxes to present themselves at that moment; perhaps the armed guards learned something about the disturbances urban foxes can cause.
