The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and HSBC Private Bank have teamed up to relaunch the RIBA Manser Medal, a nationwide competition to find the country’s best new house.
The £10,000 annual prize will be awarded to an exceptional one-off new house or major extension designed by an architect in the UK.

The projects in the running this year will be confirmed at the Stirling Prize in October and the overall winner will be announced in November.

The judging panel consists of HSBC Private Bank’s property expert Peter Mackie, Michael Manser, the RIBA’s head of awards, Tony Chapman, and architects Luke Tozer from Pitman Tozer Architects and Deborah Saunt from DSDHA.
