No.23: Repot and propagate auriculas
If the weather be cool, this is a good time to repot auriculas. Knock the plant out of its pot and shake the compost off until you can see the roots. Remove any rooted offsets and set them aside.
Shorten the carrot (tap root) to healthy tissue, dust with sulphur, trim up the fibrous roots with a knife, and re-pot into a clean pot of John Innes compost with some added sand. Do the same in miniature for the offsets. Label, water, leave in the shade for a few days. If you’ve got too many for now, August is another good time.
