The race has been won for ownership of a Cotswold farm that came on the market in the pages of Country Life in March, for the first time in 150 years.
Eleven offers were made with four parties eventually competing in a sprint finish to exchange contracts, each having bid considerably over the guide price of £1.5 million.

Oatridge Farm, near Malmesbury, went on the market only three weeks ago and selling agents Carter Jonas say interest in the 17th century property attracted potential buyers from Cornwall, Wales, Scotland, Yorkshire, London – as well as Singapore and Europe.
David Mackenzie, head of residential sales at agent Carter Jonas said: ‘Response was overwhelming with 82 enquiries, 41 viewings, 11 offers and four parties involved in the final race. Contracts were exchanged in 24 hours.’
