Holme Eden Hall in Cumbria is a horologically themed ‘calendar’ house with 365 windows, 12 corridors, seven exits and entrances and four floors to represent the four seasons.
The Grade II listed house, which is on the banks of the River Eden in Cumbria, was built in 1837 for Peter Dixon a local cotton baron and politician. Measures of time have been represented throughout its construction and layout and a recent restoration project has appropriately followed the theme by converting the house into 12 apartments.

Apartment 12, known as December is on the top floor. In the house’s original layout, some of the spacious and light-filled rooms were used as the Dixon’s children’s nursery. The flat has two bedrooms, a large living room and a fully-fitted kitchen.
