Eilean Balnagowan (Balnagowan Island) lies in Cuil Bay between Oban and Fort William on the beautiful west coast of Scotland. The mainland is extremely easily reached.
As a whole, the island extends to around 36 acres, and sits less than a mile from the mainland. There are breathtaking views out over the surrounding sea loch; to the south lies the large island of Shuna. There is also a freshwater spring.
The local council has granted permission for a bothy on the island (for temporary holiday home purposes) which makes Balnagowan island ideal for family holidays, or as a holiday business.
The island has been used in the past to graze cattle, and there is an abundance of excellent fishing. There is an abundance of wildlife, including red deer, seals and otters as well as a wide range of birdlife.

On the mainland, nearby Duror has a primary school, hotel and local shop while Oban (24 miles) has a good range of services, even better Fort William is just 20 miles.
