Glasshouses, including conservatories, always seem to be either too cold or too hot. Glass is a useless insulating material, and sunshine, even on a cold day, causes the temperature to rise dramatically. These external forces can make the place an oven just when your seedlings are at their most vulnerable, so ventilation is the key. Open the vents a little from late morning to mid-afternoon, then make sure they remain closed until the next day. The weather, of course, is capricious, so your responses must be timely. SCD
